What I liked the most about the courses was that the teachers really cared for what I wanted to learn and designed a course specially for me. I also had the chance to meet lots of people form Argentina, Brazil and other countries. Argentina’s reality is something I had never imagined.

I arrived in Buenos Aires interested in social movements, political activity and the city’s cultural tradition. It really went beyond my expectations. The first day of classes, one of the teachers took the time to listen and understand what was exactly that I wanted to learn, and then they gave me a lot of material on the subjects of my interest. I also had the chance to interview a lot of local people who participated in social and political movements.

Before arriving in Buenos Aires I had studied Spanish for ages. My classes at school and college were all about grammar and reading, but little or no conversation. So I got really excited when I found that I could communicate with people and express my thoughts clearly, thanks to the practice in this course. It was also wonderful to watch a film in Spanish and understand what was being said.
